Christmas Tree Collections

Saturday 4th January 2025 to Tuesday 7th January 2025

Christmas Tree Collection

* You must register by midday on Wednesday 1st January to secure your slot *

(if we reach capacity before this date, we will close registrations early)

From 4th January 2025, teams of our fabulous volunteers will be out in and around the local area collecting your trees.

For a donation, your tree will be recycled, and all the money raised will contribute to the over £6 million the Hospice needs every year to fund its free care.

The Hospice of St Francis is providing a hassle-free Christmas tree collection service straight from your door! You don’t even need to be in on the day. Simply leave your tree outside your house the weekend the collection starts.

We will be collecting from the following postcodes:

  • Harpenden (AL5)
  • St Albans (AL1, AL2, AL3, AL4)
  • Hemel Hempstead (HP1, HP2, HP3)
  • Tring (HP23)
  • Berkhamsted (HP4)
  • Chesham (HP5)
  • Kings Langley (WD4)
  • Abbots Langley (WD5)

Generously supported by Volunteers, the Hospice’s tree collection service has raised a truly tree-mendous £146,000 over the last 7 years. That's enough to fund our community nursing service for almost 5 months or enough to fund one of our Inpatient Unit nurses for 3 and a half years!

The Hospice’s care, which supports over 2,000 people,
will never come at a cost to the patient or their loved ones.
The community are at the heart of what the Hospice does, and the support of fundraising initiatives like this are vital to ensurethe free care continues.

Register early and secure your slot!
