Our Pulmonary Fibrosis support group has been running for over ten years and has over 45 patients! We plan to teach other local hospices how to replicate our support group, offering even more patients this beneficial support.  

Manisha, who founded the group, explained: “One of the beauties of our support group is that patients are teaching each other what’s worked for them. We share techniques like using a fan for breathlessness, and we discuss everything from symptom management to advance care planning. The reassurance and rapport the patients and carers build together is really unique. You can’t imagine how much meeting someone else with the same condition – peer to peer – can mean.”
