Complementary Therapy
We strongly believe that complementary therapies can work together with medical and nursing care to improve your wellbeing, reduce anxiety and help you to relax.
Complementary treatments are designed to aid relaxation, ease tensions and improve energy levels. They can positively help a range of problems. This might include loss of confidence, pain & discomfort, breathing difficulties, anxiety and insomnia.
We will discuss which therapy might help you most and will talk with you about the benefits of each treatment, matching you to a specialist therapist and, on a day and time that works for you. We have an experienced team of volunteer therapists who can offer the following therapies:
- Massage
- Indian Head Massage
- Aromatherapy Massage
- Reiki
- Reflexology
Feedback
"Thank you for all the important tiny details that made the difference for mum; the delicate pillowcases, the delicious food, the massages and reflexology, the time you gave to all of us, listening to our concerns, feelings and problems, the time you gave to mum". Daughter of patient
“Your Colour & Style lady had a lovely warm manner. When you have so much taken away from you and energy wise you are just struggling to get by having something to focus on was so beneficial. The session became a real catalyst to open up the group to talk about their hair loss, each person sharing their experiences in a really supportive fashion. The open conversations that took place were remarkable, considering the attendees didn’t know one another. I feel the workshop could work equally well for both patients on a curative or palliative pathway.” Workshop attendee
