Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy helps people live life their way by finding ways to help people with an illness to do this. We offer a whole range of services from fatigue management workshops, our HOPE course plus 1:1 advice on relaxation.

We use relaxation to promote wellbeing through different techniques such as adapted Tai Chi, relaxed breathing, simple muscle relaxation exercises in both group and 1:1 sessions. Learned relaxation techniques can then be used at home.

If yourself, a relative or partner would like to be considered for Occupational Therapy then please fill in our short referral form.

Other services

We also run Fatigue Management Workshops which provide strategies to help manage tiredness, improve the quality of daily life as well as recommending equipment to assist with reducing fatigue in daily tasks. The sessions also include relaxation techniques.

Our HOPE (Help Overcoming Problems Effectively) six week course is designed to give you the ability to recognise your potential for making changes to enhance your quality of life, confidence and happiness. It provides a supportive environment to share concerns with others, giving participants increased confidence in dealing with emotional issues, depression, anxiety, anger and frustration. Participants will gain knowledge on how to achieve long and short term plans for change by setting goals for themselves using problem solving steps.
