What is the Spring Centre?
Our Spring Centre is a free Health and Wellbeing Centre in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, which can help you to live your precious life well. We’re here for adults who have a serious illness such as cancer or who have a neurological, heart or lung condition.
Everyone who comes to the Spring Centre is seen initially by a senior nurse who will spend time getting to know you and understanding your illness and how it is affecting your daily life. They will then recommend a range of services which may include physiotherapy, complementary or creative therapy to help improve your wellbeing, health, independence and confidence.
We also provide practical support such as how to access health benefits when you are ill and a comprehensive range of services to support carers, close friends and family members alongside providing support for children living with someone who has a serious illness.
We’re here for you if you need us, so do fill in our confidential self-referral form or give us a ring on 01442 869550. We aim to respond to you within 48 hours. Alternatively, do speak to your GP who can also refer you to our services. You can also drop by Monday – Friday, 9am - 5pm, to speak to a team member although it is best to ring first to secure an appointment.

Dementia Support Group
We recently launched our Dementia Support Group, a new service on Tuesday mornings that combines Dance Movement Psychotherapy and Music Therapy to give participants a space to express their thoughts, feelings and experiences both verbally and non-verbally. No prior dance or music experience necessary. There will be time for tea, coffee and conversation after the group.
The group is open to those living with Dementia as well as their carers. Pre-assessment required before joining. For further information contact Syirona or Amber on syirona.dolcey@stfrancis.org.uk or amber.cave@stfrancis.org.uk.
