Who should attend:
Open to all staff, volunteers and the public who want to know more about supporting the LGBTQIA+ community living with a life-limiting condition
Course Aims:
To raise awareness of issues and concerns in relation to the LGBTQIA+ community specific to palliative care
Objectives:
To gain insights into the patient’s experience of living with heart failure
How to recognise the individual needs for the LGBTQIA+ community with palliative illness
How to challenge unconscious bias
How to create togetherness in and for the LGBTQIA+ community

Over the course of the 30 plus years Mark has spent most of his career within palliative care and oncology working as a nurse in a hospice setting, in chemotherapy, and as a urology cancer nurse specialist nurse.
